Krämer Motorcycles is proud to introduce the 2027 Krämer GP2-990R, the latest evolution of its purpose-built racing motorcycle platform. The GP2-990R was developed with one objective: to deliver an uncompromising racetrack experience.

Unlike street production motorcycles adapted for competition, the GP2-990R was designed around the demands of racing, with every component serving a purpose. The result is a machine that responds quickly to rider input, transitions effortlessly through corners, and delivers the direct, connected feel expected from a dedicated racing platform.

The GP2-990R is powered by a 947 cm³ twin-cylinder motor from KTM, which produces 135hp at 10,000 rpm and 77 lbs•ft (105 Nm) of torque at 7,000 rpm. With a ready-to-race weight of 317 lbs (144 kg), the GP2-990R offers an exceptional power-to-weight package designed for competitive track use.

Additional weight savings come from the unique fuel cell design, which uses a rotationally molded plastic fuel tank that doubles as the motorcycle’s tail section. The fuel cell carries up to 4.2 gallons (16 liters) of fuel and holds it in an optimized position for weight distribution, even as the fuel level drops throughout a race.

The GP2-990R features aerodynamic fiberglass bodywork with carbon-Kevlar reinforcement, combining lightweight construction, durability, and performance-focused design. The bodywork is engineered for easy removal and reassembly, allowing quick access to key components for maintenance, inspection, and trackside adjustments.

At the center of the GP2-990R is a testament to German engineering: a steel-trellis frame featuring adjustable head-angle geometry and Krämer’s max flex CNC-machined triple clamps with adjustable offset. Combined with a fully adjustable WP Apex Pro suspension, the chassis provides riders with extensive setup options to optimize handling at different tracks and to accommodate individual riding styles.

The 2027 Krämer GP2-990R is equipped with superior components such as forged aluminum Dymag wheels and Brembo Stylema front brake calipers, further enhancing the motorcycle’s performance. Together, these components provide the stopping power and control required for repeated high-performance track use.

The GP2-990R also features an advanced electronics package centered around a Mectronik ECU with ride-by-wire and an IMU. Adjustable traction control, wheelie control, engine braking, and throttle mapping allow riders to tailor the motorcycle’s performance to their preferences and track conditions. Whether prioritizing a more direct throttle response or extra support when accelerating out of a corner, the system gives riders the flexibility to find the right balance between performance and control. An AiM MXS 1.3 Race GPS dashboard with integrated data logging provides valuable insight into on-track performance for riders and teams.

Combining lightweight construction, high-quality racing components, rider-focused design, and extensive adjustability, every aspect of the GP2-990R is engineered around the racetrack. The 2027 Krämer GP2-990R delivers precision, responsiveness, and confidence needed to push performance further while maintaining the direct connection between rider and machine that makes racing so rewarding.

Available for pre-order starting in November 2026, the Krämer GP2-990R is a perfect addition to the Krämer Motorcycles line-up.
